About this Work of Art ~
"The
Players"
was created in the early 1970's, and features two musicians at
their most expressive moment. Mr. Tar loved to paint and draw people
in every possible situation, but never more than when they were
in
their
deeply personal expressive
state.
These
musicians found their way to Mr. Tar's palette as they played
their song in Central Park, New York. Laszlo Tar would often
spend whole days in the parks and streets of New York City,
drawing
and painting the various diverse human activities and contrasting
settings of New York.
The
original is an oil painting on canvas and the print captures
the thick textures and beauty of that medium in stunning detail.
