About this Work of Art ~
"Sailboat
Pond"
was created in 1962 by Laszlo Tar. The scene is a beautiful
late fall view of the small pond (actually named Conservatory
Water) in historic Central Park, New York. Mr. Tar loved
to
paint
and draw in Central Park and throughout New
York
City.
He would take his family to the park on weekends to play at and
near this wonderful and romantic spot. On this
day, he found this truly perfect setting that will have special
meaning to anyone who has ever visited Central Park and set sail
at Sailboat Pond.
The
original is a watercolor & goauche on paper and the print
captures the beauty of that medium in
perfect
detail.
The print is a Giclée produced
on Eclipse (150lb),
100% cotton rag paper using fine pigment inks. Just 90 signed and
numbered prints (and 10 Artist Proofs) exist of this
beautiful work of art!
