About this Work of Art ~
"59th
Street Pond"
was created in 1963 by Laszlo Tar. The scene is of The Pond
right near the 59th Street entrance to Central Park and
Grand Army Plaza. This is a view from the western side of
The Pond, looking east toward 5th Avenue. Laszlo Tar captures
the dynamics of the moment and the true beauty of this location
wonderfully in this very colorful and painterly piece.
The
original is a watercolor & goauche on paper and the print
captures the beauty of that medium in
perfect
detail.
The print is a Giclée produced
on Eclipse (150lb),
100% cotton rag paper using fine pigment inks. Just 90 signed and
numbered prints (and 10 Artist Proofs) exist of this
beautiful work of art!
