About this Work of Art ~
"Central
Park Sleigh Ride"
was created by Laszlo Tar in 1963. There is something
timeless and totally "New York" about sleigh
riding in Central Park - and you don't need to be a New
Yorker to appreciate it. It is just pure fun. In this
piece Laszlo Tar captures a moment near the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, on a winter afternoon. The hill is teaming
with kids (young and old) as Dad takes his child back
up the hill for another run. Fifth Avenue is the backdrop,
and the Metropolitan Museum is to the left.
Completed
over 40 years ago, the original is a watercolor created
on a fine textured paper and although the fine print
paper is smooth, the texture of the original shows
through wonderfully. The print a perfect replica -
signed and numbered by the artist just for you.
