About this Work of Art ~
"Gapstow
Bridge"
was created in 1965 by Laszlo Tar and depicts a wonderful and
romantic scene in historic Central
Park, New York. Mr. Tar loved to paint
and draw in Central Park and throughout New York City. On
this day he found this peaceful, romantic setting with the
Gapstow Bridge, located near east 59th street. The Gapstow
Bridge was built in 1896 by
designers Howard & Caudwell.
