About this Work of Art ~
"The
Grazing Place"
was created in 1944 and depicts a peaceful countryside setting in
Hungary. Just one of the artist's many watercolors created during
World War II, in the midst of troubling times, the work shows horses
grazing near rolling hills on a misty day -- you can almost touch
the passing clouds. Laszlo Tar spent the war years as an art
student of Hungarian master Szõnyi
István and was spared military duty due to the masters
artistic commissions by the Hungarian government. This is a wonderful
and unique work of art! The original is double-signed and dated
(on the lower right side).
The print is a Giclée produced
on Somerset Velvet (120lb), 100% cotton rag paper using fine pigment
inks. Just 50 signed and numbered prints (and 10 Artist Proofs)
exist of this beautiful work of art!
