About this Work of Art ~
"The
Fountain" was
created by Laszlo Tar in 1965. This print is of an original watercolor
painting and depicts a view of the Bethesda Fountain, in historic
Central Park, New York. In the distance is the Central Park
BoatHouse restaurant and on the lake are boaters rowing to
and from the boat house. A simply beautiful scene. One of
our favorites!
40+
years later, Laszlo Tar created another very similar painting
of Bethesda Fountain in 2005 - No. 20001137.
The
print is a Giclée produced
on Eclipse (150lb), 100% cotton rag paper using fine pigment
inks. Just 90 signed and numbered prints
(and 10 Artist Proofs) exist of this lovely work of art!
