"San
Marco"
is the main piazza (square) of Venice, Italy -- and some claim
it to be the finest square of Europe. This fine work of art features
a west looking view, with the Campanile (tower) to the right and
the famous Saint Marc Basilica in the back drop. Laszlo Tar traveled
to Venice twice
-- once in 1977 and again in 1995. He loved the colorful architecture
and canals of Venice. This original piece was completed in 1977.
As with all of his works, the artist completed this work on location.
For anyone who has visited Venice, this print will surely have
special
meaning.
