"The
Backyard"
was created in 1994, and depicts a view from the artist's Huntington
Long Island home, looking into the backyard. The season is Spring
and the bright lime colored grass glows as a man plays with his
dogs in an adjoining yard and Laszlo Tar's wife (Olga) bends down
to clear the brush in their yard, just near the rasberry patch
and the neighbors wooden fence. There is really no need to know
anything about Long Island to enjoy this colorful work of art.
