About this Work of Art ~
"Tugs
at the Seaport"
was created in 1964 by Laszlo Tar, and features an exquisite view
from the dock at the historic South Street Seaport, near the Fulton
Street Fish Market. Mr. Tar loved painting boats, especially with
the colorful city as a backdrop. He would travel throughout New
York
City and find romanticly unique and memorable spots to paint. On
this day, in 1964, he found this magical location to create one
of his many masterpieces.
