About this Work of Art ~
"Painted
Bridge" is
a unique and colorful print of an original watercolor work of the
59th Street, Queensboro Bridge in New York City as viewed from
Queens, New York and created
by Laszlo
Tar in
1979.
This work is very similar to another piece No.
20001147 that was created in 1964 from almost the same exact
spot.The
bridge is in the midst of being re-painted and the city skyline,
with the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, is just hinted in
the distance, as the early afternoon sun paints a golden yellow
that
is reflected
on the waters of
the East
River. One of
our
very favorites
-- a true masterwork!
The print is a Giclée produced on Eclipse (150lb),
100% cotton rag paper using fine pigment inks. Just 90 signed and numbered prints
(and 10 Artist Proofs) exist of this lovely work of art!
As with all of our art, this work comes with a Lifetime
