About this Work of Art ~
"The
Armory"
was created in 1966 by Laszlo Tar. The scene is the old Squadron
A Armory on Madison Avenue
and 94th Street. The structure was designed by John R. Thomas in
1888-90 for Calvary Squadron A. Laszlo Tar
lived just a short distance from this location from 1960 to 1969.
He would travel throughout New York City to find, paint and draw
the beauty of metropolitan life. On this day he found this spot
and captured for the ages. A Really wonderful piece!
